CNC Milling Machine Project – Sno-Isle Skills Center
This is a small project being made on a Haas 3-axis CNC (computer numerical control) milling machine in my high school precision machining class. I made a few dozen of these “plaques” and handed them out to visitors of the Sno-Isle Skills Center open house on February 5, 2009.
Of course I am one of the best students in Tom’s Precision Machining class at Sno-Isle TECH Skills Center in Everett, WA

DIY CNC Improvements and 3d relief milling
Some improvements to my machine include:
-Basic dust control
-Shielded computer and motor control electronics from dust
-E-stop switch
-Modified router and new, sturdier, mount (Now I can cut several centimeters deep cuts instead of just about 8mm with the first mounting assembly)
-Workpiece mounting holes and wedges
-Better fasteners for diy couplings
-Cooling fan (Needs a dustfilter)
